Okay, you may be wondering where the heck I have been for the last week or so. The short answer is that I’ve been pretty busy.
If I’m not visiting birth centres in preparation for our big arrival, I’m writing articles for my marketing activities, or I’m guest posting like a mad man.
To prove I haven’t dropped off the planet, here is where I have been posting recently:
5 Ruthless Ways to Be More Decisive
James from The Infopreneur is doing big things and growing a massive community in literally no time at all. His drive and work ethic really rubs off on you too! This article is all about overcoming our fear of decisions. Most regrets you will have are the decisions that you didn’t make. If you are not sure whether or not to read it, let me make the decision for you: read it!
Get 2,500 Subscribers and Not Earn a Penny
This was a very personal story of failure on my part that was very well received on Nicholas Cardot’s blog, Site Sketch 101. Not only does the site look amazing, it has fantastic content too and I was pleased to be a part of the conversation there. If you want to find out how I built a pretty big following but earned nothing from it, go give it a read now.
An Article A Day, Helps You Work, Rest, And Play
Jordan at Not A Pro Blog is adding a new, comedic dynamic to blogging. His comedy coaching services could become wildly popular as people look to set themselves apart in their niche. I highly recommend you check him out, and contact him about coaching if you want to be funnier and connect better with your readers. This article was the wordsmith in me trying to encourage others to take a challenge with me: to write just one article every day. I’ve been writing 10+ a day in various iterations. What did you achieve?
How to Get Big Results from Small Ideas
I was really excited to be featured on Problogger David Risley’s site this week. He is a huge name with a tight, focused following that I really enjoyed communicating with. I love his style and hope to achieve the kind of status and quiet confidence that he exudes. Here, I talk about why a small idea is perfect and we shouldn’t waste our time and effort only chasing the big ones. It’s well worth a read.
How to Remove Distractions With Information Fasting
Guest posting on Blogussion was a great experience and very, very easy too. I love the design and feel of the site and community and Alex is doing amazing things at such a young age. I guarantee he will be a millionaire by the time he is 21! In this post I discuss a concept called Information Fasting which can be quite a powerful way for you to realise that a lot of what you are reading, learning and sharing is keeping you from the important tasks that will get you where you want to be in life. If you want to become the master of the information super highway, I suggest you check it out.
I promise I will be back soon with a great new post and to the 40 or so of you who read this, thanks for sticking around!
Enjoy the posts.

It was great to have you guest post brother, it went down a storm, feel free to send another in
I’ll see what I can rustle up, dude.
Information fasting is a pretty cool article.. Good read
Thanks, man. Glad you stopped by.
Congratulations on all the guest posts Ian. No wonder I’ve not seen you online
Yeah, I’m working on a new post that will explain my reasoning for this, but I am still alive. Not sure how this will continue once my little one arrives.
good to see you’re still around. I’m guessing your gonna be even more busy over the coming months
I won’t be that busy. I’ve only got a baby due imminently, a couple of affiliate marketing businesses to push, guest posts, comments and blog posts here to do. Piece of cake.
P.S. Saw that you started a new web app. Looks awesome, man. Are you a rails guy too like Oscar?
Glad you did the round up Ian, I was unaware of all of this. I caught your posts on Blogussion and The Infopreneur, both very well done. Keep it up.
Marc
Thanks Marc, I’ll try to keep the good stuff coming for you.
Hey bro!!
Looks like you’ve been busy eh? Rock on man. I love your blog.
I also like the theme. I’ve seen it and I may use it… trouble is, my readers have already put up with me changing my theme once. ahah!!
I’ll be reading a couple of these posts man!!
Thanks for the love, Travis. I really appreciate it. The theme is awesome as a starting point, but I may look to a custom Thesis job soon.
Definitely check out the posts and let me know what you think.
For sure bro!! Thesis has some cool stuff going on. They’ve just added “bloggussion” theme which you add to Thesis inside one of the files, and it changes it from plain old thesis, to a stylized nice looking thesis with even more flexibility.
Anyway, keep on keepin’ on bro!! This blog has got more than serious potential.
Hey Ian, you are appearing everywhere indeed. Congrats for your efforts and keep the good stuff coming.
Keep a look out because I might be appearing at a blog near you soon.
Ian,
It’s great to see you spread your ‘good word’ on other blogs; a great way to share yourself among the massess, well done.
Regards
Paul
